What’s it about? A good question really! I’ve been creating mobile WAP sites since 1999 when I got my first WAP mobile a Nokia 7110. The first site being a mobile WAP directory of sites called Click4WAP that still exists today. I’ve been involved in independently marketing all types of mobile content direct to user via the mobile internet since then and have been fairly sucessful at it, given the enormous dependencies on what the mobile operators can and have done to make it difficult for anyone off portal to monetise mobile content. Tactics employed included actively blocking users from content. Not a good situation when it’s after you’ve paid for it on mobile ad networks such as AdMob or Google’s mobile adwords! Even more disheartening when the operator’s mobile gateway then re directs “your paid for traffic” to their mobile portal offering similar content to yours! Now since mobile devices are able connect in different ways such as WiFi we aren’t likely to get ripped off as consumers or developers as much now. There’s nothing worse than creating a site from zero to over 12 million hits a month, working out how do make money with it (while the operators sat back and did nothing) and then get the very people that you’ve given ideas to just steal from you.
Originally the intention was to post mainly mobile related stuff here but due to having far to much work to do in other areas the site got rather neglected and out of date. Now due to the great tools created by my brother Kosso on Phreadz it’s become very easy for me to post stuff here from various media channels around the web and post from my mobile directly to here so I’m going to use this site to propagate from all over the place. I like music and love the internet as a means to discovering new artists. Doesn’t mean I won’t post some classics as well though. Still a load of work in progress… it’s always good for the soul to have a little garden to tend somewhere, mine will be here for a while
